Welcome to my new blog!

I’ve had a few teething troubles.  It’s frustrating, as I struggle through the SQL database setup, and then manually write in the wp-config.php file, that I don’t have more brainpower, and I wonder about people who are just damn clever.  I bet they don’t even raise a sweat setting these things up.  Then to complicate matters, I moved the whole thing up a directory, which of course screwed everything, then I fixed it, about 5 times before I realized it wasn’t actually broken, I was just using the old bookmark – what an idiot!  Anyway hopefully we’re all here now and my brain hasn’t quite leaked out of my ears.

Firstly, thank you to everyone who has wished me well via all sorts of different media, it is comforting to think that we haven’t been forgotten about, and that there is goodwill coming across the ocean in our direction.

Before I ramble on too much, I just need to say that while I was offline, I still blogged away into text files, so the first few posts will really just be these cut-and-pasted.  The first one is actually written while I was on the plane on the way over here, such is my need to record my life.   I suspect that this blog will be a lot more writing and reflecting than the last one, and that it may also be a bit boring, so I’m going to make more use of tags this time so it’s easier to pick out posts that might be vaguely engaging with relevance to a particular interest.  Here we go…
